Dear Lucy,

I don’t know how many times I have written and re written this paragraph today. There’s just no real way to tell you how much you have made an impact on my life. It all started with just one episode of  I Love Lucy, which believe it or not was just a few years ago. I had always seen your show before, but never really came to appreciate you or the show. You have an awesome gift of making people laugh. It does not matter how sad or upset I am, because I know I can always watch your shows. This goes to show that just because you may not be here in the physical sense, doesn’t mean that your legacy of laughter holds up.It’s hard to believe that one person can have so much impact. Thank you Lucy! We will always will remember you. As your friend Bob Hope said: ” God has you now, but thanks to television we will have you forever.” I’m proud to say I love Lucy!
